The notification for the EWS Admission 2023-24 will soon be announced by the Directorate of Education Delhi. Students from economically weakened sections and disadvantaged groups can apply for admission under this category.
Important pointers for EWS admission:
Before parents apply for the EWS admission 2023-24 for their wards they have to check if their children are eligible for the same. Details like income of the family of the ward etc have to be submitted by the parents. Also, for admission, the student must be a permanent native of Delhi.
The documents to be submitted vary for different groups and the same has to be checked by the parents. The EWS admission Delhi application form submission starts in the 1st week of January 2023 and ends in the 3rd week of January 2023.
You need to visit the website “https://edustud.nic.in” and fill in all the details in the application form and submit the same. The selection of the school also has to be done online. In a total of 13 districts of Delhi, there are in all 1617 schools in this category.
Details about the age limit for EWS admission:
The parents must check if their child fulfils the EWS admission age limit requirement. For pre-school/nursery it is 3 to 5 years. For Pre-Primary/KG it is less than 5 years and for the 1st standard, it should be less than 6 years.
Once you have submitted the EWS admission form then you have to wait for the merit list and the merit list can be checked on the official website. The first merit list shall be declared in the last week of January 2023.
