Delhi Nursery Admission 2023-24
The Delhi Directorate of Education has introduced Delhi Nursery Admission 2023-24 to provide parents with an online option to apply for their child’s admission at a nursery school. This new scheme allows parents to fill out the application form online, eliminating the need to visit the school and increasing transparency of the system. In addition to enhancing transparency, this new system also allows parents to find out the minimum age for admission to a Delhi nursery school.

Once the application period has ended, the school will publish the list of selected children along with the waiting list. Parents will have eight days to clear any queries.
Parents should keep in mind that applicants must be between three and five years old as on 31 March 2023. For admission to the Class I class, applicants must be between five and seven years old as of that date. Parents should also remember to submit an application form duly filled. The minimum age for admission in Nursery in Delhi is four years old. However, there are age relaxations available in some cases. In general, the child has to be four years old by March 31st. The minimum Nursery Admission age for is four years, while the age limit for KG and Class 1 admission is five and six years, respectively. Nursery admissions in Delhi began on February 18 in both government and private schools. The new age limit is 30 days younger than the previous one, but parents can still request a one-month relaxation for their children. The program has been launched by the Directorate of Education, Delhi. Parents can apply for admission to nursery schools on the official website of each school.
To apply, parents must meet the eligibility requirements. They must be a permanent resident of Delhi or a family earning up to one lakh rupees a year. The application form can be obtained online and printed out for future reference.

The nursery admissions in Delhi for the new academic year shall commence in December 2022.
For preschool that is nursery, the child has to be in the age group of 3 to 4 years. For pre-primary that is KG the child has to be in the age group of 4 to 5 years. For class 1st the child has to be in the age group of 5 to 6 years.
A ration card or smart card which has the name of the parents and the child can be given as address proof. The domicile certificate of the child or the parents can also be submitted. A voter id card or aadhar card of any of the parents can also be submitted. Utility bills or passports of the parents can also be given as address proof.
Along with the address proof, other documents have to be submitted like a photograph of the child and parents. The family photo also has to be submitted. The child’s birth certificate and medical fitness certificate have to be submitted. The aadhar card of the child and the parents also has to be submitted.
